On December 24, 2025, the Almaty Museum hosted the grand opening of the exhibition "Abai – my life theme", organized jointly with the M. Auezov House Museum Research Center and dedicated to the 180th anniversary of Abai Kunanbayuly.
The exhibition aims to comprehensively present the life and spiritual legacy of the great Kazakh thinker and poet Abai Kunanbayuly, as well as to reveal the Abai theme through the works of writer and scientist Mukhtar Omarkhanovich Auezov, for whom Abai's legacy has become the central theme of all his creative activities.
The exhibition presents M.O. Auezov's manuscripts, rare books, the first and subsequent editions of the novel "Abai", published in different years, his awards, clothing and household items, as well as unique exhibits from the scientific fund of the scientific research center "M. Auezov House Museum".
In particular, the exhibition exhibits editions of the novel "Abai" in Kazakh and Russian, published in 1942, 1948 and 1958, multi-volume collections of the epic "The Way of Abai", a 50-volume collection of works by M. Auezov, as well as academic complete editions of Abai's works.
The exhibition will run for one month.
