History of the museum

The memorial museum-apartment has been preserved in the same form as during Dmitry Kunayev's years of residence, with all personal items and was opened for visitors on January 12, 2012, in connection with his 100th anniversary. The apartment museum is located in a building on M. Tulebayev, at the intersection with Karasay Batyr Street.
The museum-apartment consists of four rooms: D.A. Kunayev's office, a living room, a hall, a bedroom and a kitchen. Tableware for receiving guests is on display: crystal vases, sets. D.A. Kunayev's library has about 5,000 books. In addition, the museum apartment houses a collection of 450 Dimash Akhmedovich lighters.
