History of the museum

Literary and Memorial Museum of S. Mukanov In 1978 was organized and opened the house-museum of S. Mukanov, where the writer lived from 1965 to 1973 and spent the last eight years of his life. The museum consists of 2 parts: literary and memorial. In the literary part of the museum in the exposition there are documents, photos, manuscripts telling about the life and work of the writer. Every thing - books, souvenirs, favorite dombra, writing utensils and other personal belongings take us to the era where the great Kazakh writer S. Mukanov lived and created his masterpieces.
